I didn’t notice the spider on the back of the grass-head until I got home and downloaded my images. A little bonus! 🙂 Judging by the male hovering near and following this female, this is a Bluet. I’m a newbie at identifying dragonflies, but from what I’ve read, this is likely a Tule Bluet (Enallagma carunculatum).
