Here we have some Yellowlegs feeding along the waterline in the Nicomekl estuary, just inland from Mud Bay, south of Vancouver, BC. I’m not sure if they are Greater or Lesser Yellowlegs (Totanus melanoleucus or flavipes). The main difference is in the call, the size and the length of the bill. At the time I captured these images I thought they were Greater, but looking at the images I’m not so sure. Charming little wading birds in any case.
