My first submission to Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness. If I have followed the procedure for submitting an image correctly, hopefully it will show up in Week 17’s challenge next Tuesday.
This image is of the eye of my soul horse who died unexpectedly in 2012. He breathed life into — and carried me far beyond — my wildest childhood fantasies. He was the kind of horse most people can only dream about. He was a true gift and I am still struggling to adjust to losing him. One of his well-earned nicknames was Son of Pegasus, thus the name of my blog.
I haven’t played around much with black and white photography, so this is me dipping my toe in the deep end. π

Just seen this image on Leanne’s post, this photo is my favourite one on there. It’s stunning. It portrays the beauty of the horse perfectly. It’s sad to hear he is no longer with us. He’s a beautiful horse and you’ve done very well with this photo!

Thank you, Sabrina, for your kind words. I love both the B&W and color versions of this image. I have a “thing” about eyes, and his were gorgeous.
